Science, Technology, and Society

Science, Technology, and Society (STS) serves as an introduction to the ramifications of the interplay among science, technology, and society. In this regard, enrollment for the course does not have a prerequisite. The course is an interdisciplinary investigation of how scientific advancements and technological innovations propel economic, environmental, sociological, and political changes in the society, and conversely, how changes in the society influence scientific discovery and creation of novel technology through technical, sociopolitical, and ethical perspectives.
